a widely-experienced strategist and business development consultant whose passion is to help
companies in Africa with accelerated change and growth. Throughout her career – in
government, business and non-profit environments – Janine has chosen to transform processes,
change perceptions and influence the way people live their lives and grow their wealth. In
2001, Janine joined Microsoft USA, managing user experience, marketing and content strategy
programs. Seven years ago she began her consulting career, inspired to work with high
potential start-ups, business mavericks and world changers as part of her mission to
transform Africa.
She now focuses on healthcare, education and technology consulting projects on the
continent.

Joshua believes the purposeful and planned use of technology in business can drive change in
Africa – and this has propelled him to seek opportunities that have provided a context for
him to learn, innovate and push for results. On a quest for new challenges after obtaining a
mechanical engineering degree, Joshua gained a scholarship to the Meltwater Entrepreneurship
School of Technology (MEST) program, and was selected in 2011 as one of MEST’s five software
start-up team leaders. He then joined the health industry,where he worked to make technology
and data the backbone of operations in the sector.
In 2014 he set up his own ICT
company, 82 Brands, and began developing mobile-ready web applications for clients in the
health and insurance industries.
Joshua also continues to advise businesses on ICT needs and improving operational logistics.
